Neva Mae Warsen

Neva (Wustman) Warsen age 86 of Grandville, MI was called to her Heavenly home on August 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Veldhouse in 1977; her second husband, Harvey Warsen in 2021; her parents, Mart & Alice Wustman; her siblings and spouses, Jerry (Donna) Wustman, Marty Wustman, Alva (Tyce) Bruursema, Sally (Ted) Demmink; her brother-in-law, Wink Brower and sister-in-law, Jan Veldhouse. Neva is survived by her daughters, Sandra and Mike Winchester, Sharon and Joe Westhouse; stepsons, Mike and Beth Warsen, Harvey Warsen, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Renee Warsen; grandchildren, Jodi Hillman, Melissa Winchester, Stefanie and Joe Dyer, Scott and Stephanie Westhouse, Brittany and Matt Van Oeveren, Courtney and Mitch Harkema, and Ryan and Jessica Warsen. She is also survived by Bob’s sister, Lois and Butch Potter; brother, Ronald Veldhouse; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Neva was very active in her church, First Reformed Church of Byron Center. She taught Sunday School, was a member of the Education Committee, started the GEMS program, was active in the Women’s Ministry, taught and attended monthly Bible Studies. She was a tax preparer for 48 years and did accounting for several firms. She also worked for Buist Electric for 12 years and Royal Securities for seven years. When she and Harv moved to their condo at Del-Mar Village, she was on the board of directors as their treasurer for 19 years before retiring from that position in 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at First Reformed Church of Byron Center, 8425 Byron Center Ave SW, with Pastor Bill Fernhout officiating. Burial Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 11-12:45 prior to the service at The ROCK at church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Hospice.
