Rita Lorraine Ten Hoeve

Rita Lorraine Ten Hoeve, age 93, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Johannes; granddaughter, Nicole Blando; siblings, Kenneth Koehler and Harriet Varchula. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Susan and George Greis, Richard and Helen Ten Hoeve, Donald and Sandy Ten Hoeve, Robert and Jonni Ten Hoeve, Beverly and Nick Blando, Kathleen and John Mattias; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank Ten Hoeve. Rita graduated from bookkeeping school and served for many years in accounting and bookkeeping at her church in New Jersey. She was a giver and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and she loved spending time with her family. She liked to read, complete puzzles, play dominoes or crochet baby blankets for many new babies born into Rush Creek Bible Church. Rita and Johannes attended Rush Creek Bible Church for many years. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to caregivers Melissa Richards and Barb Sherman for their loving care shown to Rita. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Rush Creek Bible Church, with Pastor Cameron Townley officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, September 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Saturday, from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grace Ministries International or Grace Christian University, both of Wyoming, MI.
