Robert Eugene Williams

Bob Williams passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on February 18, 2022. He grew up loving baseball and had a true appreciation of music. As a young adult, Bob joined the Army. He earned the rank of Sergeant in the 196th Infantry during the Korean War. He met Frances, they married, and then had seven children together. He was a well-respected insurance agent at Allstate Insurance Company, where he devoted 40+ years to provide for his family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and tragically his wife, Frances and then later, his second wife, Barb. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children: Steve, Mark (Rachel), Bobbi (Bob), Donna (Eric), David (Vicky), Sara (Bob), and Laura (Patrick); as well as his sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. He is also survived by Barb’s children: Greg (Diane), Chris (Scott), Jody (Mike), and Teresa (Shawn), as well as her grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his niece, Karyn (Chuck) and nephew, Reverend Kenneth (Karen) Kuiper. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. It will begin with a 10:00 am visitation, followed by an 11:00 am service officiated by Rev. Kenneth Kuiper. A private burial will take place on Monday, February 28 at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Grand Rapids. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to a charity of choice. A gathering will be held at one of Bob’s favorite parks this summer.
