Ronald DeYoung

Ronald Charles DeYoung, age 82, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2023. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Ron was the owner and operator of Custom Gears in Wyoming for many years. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kraig; and brother, Roger DeYoung. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Marge; children, Kim and Kurt Kooienga, Kevin and Joan DeYoung; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Amanda and Jaysen Ruiz (Jolene, Eliza, Toby), Ben and Madi Kooienga, Michelle Kooienga, Jacob and Rachel Kooienga (Daniel), Carissa Kooienga, Mark Kooienga, Caitlyn DeYoung, Dillon DeYoung, Diana DeYoung, Casey DeYoung; brother, Jerry and Candy DeYoung; sisters, Joanne DeYoung and Frank Amatangelo, Nancy and Don Smith; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Chad DeJong officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
