Wilma Laverne Lock

Wilma Laverne Lock, age 86, of Wyoming, was called home to rest in the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 20, 2023. Wilma was a kind and loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma who had a warm and contagious personality and zest for life. She retired from Bilmar after many years of dedicated service. Wilma was blessed with the talents of making clothes, painted ceramics, and was a great seamstress. Above all, her love and devotion to her family was evident to all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tina and Ted Tarr, Teresa Long, Roger Kersten, Lisa and Carlos Ochoa; grandchildren, James and Melissa Tarr, Mark and Heather Tarr, Dana and Colton Ridder, Angela and Jim Herring, Antonio Rodriguez, Benjamin and Kristine Kersten, Brandon and Laura Kersten, Brittany and Josh Ferguson, Jessie Ochoa, Marissa Ochoa, Christian and Olivia Ochoa; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Dortha Suboski-Davis, Sandra Cagle, Phyllis Herring, Bonnie Ray; many loving extended family members and friends. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Wilma’s caregiver, Sherri Stuitje, for all the love and compassionate care given to Wilma. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Pentecostal Praise Place, 1515 Langley Street SE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Paris Emmanual and her son-in-law, Ted Tarr officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
